Applications of Machine Learning in Medical Image Analysis

Presenter: Elliot Greenblatt, Ph.D. | Associate Director of CT and Advanced Special Projects, Invicro

In this webinar, a review of Invicro’s experience utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) as a tool for solving medical image analysis challenges in preclinical and clinical applications will be explored. Specific use cases where machine learning (ML) made a difference and provided further insights into the promise and pitfalls of utilizing ML will be discussed. Moreover, a deeper dive into a ML segmentation example will be presented to show how it is being used to analyze murine colon walls from MR images.

During this webinar, the presenter will:

  1. Describe how AI is practically being utilized to solve specific analysis workflows
  2. Reveal some of the promise and pitfalls of ML
  3. Explain when ML is a potential solution for specific imaging problems
