How do you see imaging transforming the development of novel therapies?

"The use of imaging is critical to understanding the effects of radioligand therapies. By changing the type of radioisotope, they can be customized for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes and by changing the ligand, it can target different types of cancer cells with little effect on healthy cells. Imaging is used to support these novel therapies to monitor response."

What are some transformative breakthroughs that have driven precision medicine efforts?

"More routine genetic testing due to decreased costs, the ability to use large amounts of data and AI along with increased computational power to support patient grouping based on disease characteristics, and the use of imaging biomarkers to characterize tumors has certainly helped drive precision medicine."

What scientist (past or present) do you admire and why?

"Although not in our space, those that I admire most are those that have the ability to increase interest in science through promotion, education, and ability to communicate to the level of their audience. This includes individuals like Physicist, Michio Kaku and Astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson."
