Seeking Volunteers of Japanese Descent

[18F]GTP1, an experimental PET imaging agent, may allow doctors to see changes in the brains of individuals who have problems with thinking and memory related to Alzheimer’s disease. This study is an open-label study to evaluate the distribution of microdoses of [18F]GTP1 in the body in healthy volunteers of Japanese descent. Data from this study will support future clinical studies of Alzheimer’s disease in diverse patient populations.


Study Location: New Haven, Connecticut 

You may be eligible to participate if you are:


  • Male or Female
  • 18 years or older
  • Have Japanese parents and Japanese grandparents
  • Non-smoker or drug abuser
  • In good physical and mental health

The study involves:


  • Whole-body PET imaging for up to 6 hours
  • Study participation will include an overnight stay on the night prior to PET imaging
  • One day screening visit to assess for suitability
